Frederick Donaldson, acclaimed for his operatic portrayls in Europe, has created equal excitement by critics and audiences alike in the Untied States and Canada. Mr. Donaldson has performed over forty operatic roles in leading opera houses all over the world including Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Welsh National Opera, Opera North, Scottish opera, the Wiesbaden Maifestpiele, Opera de Quebec, Montreal Opera, Seattle Opera, Cincinnati Opera, Mississippi Opera, Connecticut Grand Opera, Stamford State Opera, and New York City Opera. His most recent credits inclue Erik (Der Fliegender Hollander) for Pacific Opera, Pollione in Norma for Vancouver Opera, Ricardo in Ballo in Maschera for Welsh national Opera, and Radames in Aida for Boston Concert opera. In 1988 Mr. Donaldson made his debut with the National Ballet of Canada at Toronto's O'Keefe Centre in Mahler's Das Lied Von der Erde, a performance he reprised this spring prior to joining the Phantom cast. He has also taught master classes and has performed as a concert artist throughout Europe, the United States and Canada.
